Web3 - Backend QA Engineer
As a Web3 Backend QA Engineer at Betsson Group, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our backend systems for innovative iGaming products. This position is integral to our Original Games team, focusing on leveraging Web3 technologies to enhance our offerings. Betsson Group is a leading global iGaming operator, committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences through cutting-edge technology and a diverse range of gaming products.
In this role, you will be responsible for manual testing and enforcing the highest quality standards across our backend systems. You will build, maintain, and improve automated testing frameworks using the latest tools and best practices, aligned with our architectural principles. Identifying gaps in test coverage across both front-end and back-end systems and taking proactive steps to address them will be key aspects of your day-to-day work. Collaborating closely with engineers, you will embed a Quality-Built-In mindset, suggest improvements, and contribute directly to our codebase to enhance robustness and reduce time-to-market. Additionally, you will work with CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and tooling enhancements to streamline our development processes.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of QA experience across front-end and back-end systems, with a strong understanding of QA methodologies, test automation, and code coverage best practices. Proficiency in C#/.NET environments and familiarity with modern front-end technologies based on JavaScript are essential. A passion for quality, analytical thinking, self-drive, and a solutions-oriented approach are crucial for success in this role. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required.
While not mandatory, experience in the iGaming industry, ISTQB certification or equivalent, and a degree in a relevant field are considered advantageous.
