QA Engineer

Betsson Group is seeking a QA Engineer to join our Mobile Apps team, focusing on delivering a superior native mobile experience in the iGaming industry. This role is based in Malta and involves working within a collaborative, agile environment that emphasizes ownership, innovation, and quality.

The QA Engineer will perform both manual and automated testing across iOS and Android platforms. Key responsibilities include collaborating closely with developers, designers, product owners, and fellow QA engineers to deliver high-quality features. The role also involves defining and refining test strategies for new functionalities and release cycles, investigating and tracking bugs using tools like Jira, developing and maintaining automation tests with Appium and Java, validating app interactions with backend services via REST APIs, and participating in Agile ceremonies to ensure quality is embedded from the start.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with over 5 years of QA experience, including at least 3 years focused on mobile testing. Solid experience with iOS and Android platforms, strong hands-on experience with Appium and Java, familiarity with REST API testing and backend integration flows, and experience with CI/CD tools like Git, Jenkins, or Bitrise are essential. An ISTQB certification or equivalent QA training is preferred, and a background in iGaming or fast-paced, high-scale environments is advantageous. Proactive, detail-oriented individuals with clear communication skills in English are ideal for this role.
