Backend .NET Software Engineer - Sportsbook

As a Software Engineer at Betsson Group, you will join our dedicated Sportsbook tech team responsible for developing and maintaining our in-house Sportsbook platform. This platform supports multiple brands and is expanding rapidly into new markets, including B2B offerings. Our Product Development organization operates globally, with cross-functional teams located in Malta, Budapest, Stockholm, Tallinn, and Athens.

In this role, you will be involved in all aspects of software development, from designing and writing code to creating unit tests and managing both SQL and NoSQL databases. You will work on a high-performance, high-availability, and high-throughput multi-brand betting platform that handles significant data volumes, including thousands of leagues and hundreds of thousands of bets on peak days. Collaboration with architects, developers, QA engineers, database experts, and DevOps staff in an agile environment is a key part of the position.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience Core, as well as proficiency in developing across complex microservice environments. Familiarity with message queue systems such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or ServiceBus is essential. Additional requirements include expertise in WebAPI, SQL Server, and NoSQL databases, along with experience in unit testing frameworks and agile development methodologies. Effective collaboration and knowledge-sharing skills are also important.
