Staff Software Engineer, Expert Research

AlphaSense is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the Expert Research team, which manages all expert call services within the company. This collaborative group of full-stack teams is responsible for internal systems supporting over 9,000 monthly expert calls and enhancing user engagement with this content on the AlphaSense platform. The company's technology stack includes Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, Vue.js, and React.

In this role, the engineer will streamline workflows for more than 250 analysts, integrate third-party data sources, and develop new content mechanisms to expand the expert library. Collaboration with machine learning teams to embed AI into the product and contributions to front-end development relied upon by tens of thousands of users daily are key aspects of the position.

Candidates should have over 10 years of experience in software development, building highly reliable, mission-critical software. A strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, including algorithmic complexity, asynchronicity, and distributed computing, is essential. Proficiency in design and architecture concepts, familiarity with Agile development processes, and a track record of technical leadership across teams are also required.

The compensation range for this position is between $202,400 and $278,300 USD annually. Additional benefits include equity options and a comprehensive benefits program.
