Staff Software Engineer
Arcadia is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our Energy Analytics Squad, focusing on developing web APIs and data pipeline solutions within our comprehensive energy intelligence platform. This role is integral to our mission of simplifying energy management for businesses by providing unified data, AI-powered analytics, and expert advisory services.
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will contribute significantly to our electricity cost modeling RESTful API and build DBT data pipelines that simulate electricity costs nationwide. Collaborating closely with product managers and subject matter experts, you will translate complex requirements into engineering-ready designs and implementation plans. Your work will involve participating in peer technical design reviews to ensure efficient and maintainable code, as well as improving squad and organization-level engineering processes by establishing best practices.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with over six years of software development experience in a SaaS or technology company. Proficiency in building REST APIs, experience with Python and enterprise Java (preferably Spring or Spring Boot), and expertise in constructing SQL data pipelines (with Snowflake and DBT preferred) are essential. Familiarity with deploying systems on AWS or similar platforms, strategic AI expertise, and experience with Python data science tools are also required. Additional qualifications include experience with NoSQL databases, designing and troubleshooting large web API systems at scale, and working in industries requiring deep domain knowledge, such as energy.
