Staff Site Reliability Engineer
AlphaSense is seeking a highly experienced Staff Site Reliability Engineer to join our growing Site Reliability Engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of reliability, scalability, and performance across our global engineering organization. AlphaSense is a leading market intelligence platform that empowers professionals to make informed decisions through AI-driven insights, serving over 6,000 enterprise customers, including a majority of the S&P 500.
As a Staff Site Reliability Engineer, you will architect core reliability platforms, lead incident responses, and drive the adoption of SRE best practices. Your responsibilities will include building frameworks and self-service tools that enable teams to own the reliability of their services, driving our AIOps strategy to automate diagnostics and proactive failure prevention, embedding SRE practices through design reviews and operational standards, acting as Incident Commander during critical events, delivering end-to-end monitoring and profiling solutions, and mentoring engineers across SRE and product teams.
The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or similar roles, with at least 3 years in a senior position. A strong background in running production SaaS systems at scale is essential, along with proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Go. Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, and Kubernetes is required. A deep understanding of networking fundamentals, experience with monitoring and alerting tools, familiarity with advanced observability practices, proven incident management experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and excellent communication and collaboration abilities are also necessary.
AlphaSense offers a competitive compensation range of $150,000 to $225,000 USD, along with equity options and a generous benefits program.
