Staff Site Reliability Engineer
AlphaSense is seeking a highly experienced Staff Site Reliability Engineer to join our growing Site Reliability Engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of reliability, scalability, and performance across our platform. As a Staff Site Reliability Engineer, you will architect core reliability platforms, lead incident response efforts, and drive the adoption of SRE best practices throughout our global engineering organization. Your responsibilities will include building frameworks and self-service tooling that empower teams to own the reliability of their services, driving our AIOps strategy to automate diagnostics and proactive failure prevention, and embedding SRE practices through design reviews and operational standards. Additionally, you will act as Incident Commander during critical events and advance our observability capabilities to optimize performance proactively.
The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or similar roles, with at least 3 years in a senior SRE position. A strong background in running production SaaS systems at scale is essential, along with proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as Python or Go. Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, and Kubernetes is required. A deep understanding of networking fundamentals, experience with monitoring and alerting tools, and proven incident management skills are also necessary. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities are crucial for success in this role.
AlphaSense offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $150,000 to $225,000 USD, equity options, and a generous benefits program.
