Staff Site Reliability Engineer
AlphaSense is seeking a highly experienced Staff Site Reliability Engineer to join our growing Site Reliability Engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of reliability, scalability, and performance across our global engineering organization. As a Staff Site Reliability Engineer, you will architect core reliability platforms, lead incident responses, and drive the adoption of SRE best practices. Your responsibilities will include building frameworks and self-service tools that enable teams to own the reliability of their services, driving our AIOps strategy to automate diagnostics and proactive failure prevention, and embedding SRE practices through design reviews and operational standards. Additionally, you will act as Incident Commander during critical events and advance observability by delivering comprehensive monitoring and profiling solutions.
The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or similar roles, with at least 3 years in a senior position. A strong background in running production SaaS systems at scale is essential, along with proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Go. Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, and Kubernetes is required. A deep understanding of networking fundamentals, experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana, and proven incident management skills are also necessary. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities are crucial for success in this role.
