Staff Analytics Engineer
The Staff Analytics Engineer will join AlphaSense's Product Analytics team, focusing on developing and maintaining data pipelines and analytical tools to support business decision-making. This role involves working with a diverse team of professionals dedicated to innovation and execution in the field of data analytics. AlphaSense is a leading provider of AI-driven market intelligence, serving over 6,000 enterprise customers, including a majority of the S&P 500.
Key responsibilities include developing an R&D Analytical Data Lake for real-time data ingestion, storage, processing, and analytics on business intelligence tools. The engineer will also create and maintain data pipelines for extracting, transforming, cleaning, pre-processing, aggregating, and loading data from various sources using Python and SQL. Additionally, the role involves developing Tableau dashboards by establishing connections with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and other tools.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, along with over five years of experience as an Analytics Engineer. Proficiency in Python for writing modular, maintainable code is essential. Experience in creating data pipelines and transforming data using SQL in GCP, as well as developing Tableau workbooks, is required. Familiarity with AWS services like S3, SNS, SQS, and AWS Lambda Function, as well as experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD processes, NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB), and event-driven systems, is also necessary. Strong communication and collaboration skills are important for this role.
