Sportsbook - Database Administrator

As a Database Administrator within our Sportsbook Technology team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the databases that power our core systems. You will work closely with developers, operations, and other technical teams to ensure high performance, availability, and reliability across all environments. A deep understanding of our data models and a strong passion for performance and stability are essential for success in this role.

Your primary responsibilities will include owning and supporting SQL Server environments across production and non-production settings. You will troubleshoot performance, availability, and data integrity issues, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery through backups, clustering, and replication. Additionally, you will automate routine DBA tasks to improve reliability and utilize AWS services for hosting, backup, and monitoring as needed.

We are seeking candidates with extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server versions 2017–2022 and strong proficiency in T-SQL development and performance tuning. Effective communication skills are essential, as you will provide clear guidance on database best practices and optimization opportunities to developers and stakeholders. Experience with AWS Cloud services relevant to database infrastructure and proficiency in automation frameworks or scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python are also required.
