As a Site Reliability Engineer at Betsson Group, you will be part of a global Product Development organization spanning six tech hubs, including Malta, Budapest, Stockholm, Tallinn, Kyiv, and Athens. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the stability, reliability, and performance of our online gaming platforms. Betsson Group is a leading company in the iGaming industry, offering online gaming products across multiple jurisdictions and brands.

Your primary responsibilities will include serving as the first point of technical escalation for issues within our cloud and on-premise infrastructure. You will participate in daily stand-ups with development teams, providing updates and insights on platform changes. A key aspect of the role is automating workflows and tools, such as deploying distributed applications and infrastructure using various scripting languages, to enable our 24/7 Incident Engineers to address incidents without escalation. Additionally, you will analyze, diagnose, and resolve production environment issues with minimal escalation to third-level support teams. Participation in the Change Management process, including reviewing RFCs and supporting software and hardware deployments, is also expected. Developing and documenting operational procedures between the LiveOps (NOC) Team and development teams to improve diagnostic efficiency and impact mitigation is another critical responsibility.

The ideal candidate will have experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Octopus, Team City, and Terraform. Proficiency in AWS cloud infrastructure, including CDNs and systems operating across multiple data centers, is essential. Experience with cloud application load balancers, particularly AWS ALB, and cloud DNS services like AWS Route 53, GCP Cloud DNS, or Azure DNS is required. Familiarity with serverless computing (e.g., AWS Lambda), cloud firewalls (e.g., AWS WAF), and server virtualization technologies such as VMware, IaaS, and PaaS cloud services (AWS and Azure) is important. Competence in open-source monitoring and alerting tools like Prometheus, Loki, Grafana, and Jaeger, as well as scripting in Python, Bash, PowerShell, or other languages, is necessary. Experience with Microsoft SQL databases, including tasks like running stored procedures and assessing impact through select statements, is also beneficial. A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred, and an AWS Cloud Practitioner certification or equivalent would be advantageous.

This position operates on a 24/7 shift basis, with opportunities for limited remote work. Betsson Group offers a dynamic and fast-paced work environment, emphasizing innovation and continuous learning. Employees benefit from a multicultural and diverse company culture, with colleagues from over 75 nationalities. The company provides various perks, including health insurance, gym subsidies, and team-building events, fostering both professional and personal growth.
