Senior Software Engineer - Rendering API

The Advanced Technology Group (ATG) at PlayStation Global is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the development of current and future rendering APIs utilized by PlayStation games. ATG, a division within the Foundational Systems and Experiences Engineering (FSEE) group, has a longstanding mission of assisting game developers in maximizing PlayStation hardware capabilities. The team is responsible for significant portions of the graphics software stack used across all PlayStation titles and collaborates with engineering teams worldwide to deliver key platform technologies.

In this role, you will design and implement features that facilitate efficient game development, advance GPU programming, and contribute to a robust platform. Your responsibilities include monitoring industry trends, understanding customer needs, and aligning decisions with business objectives. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of the PlayStation graphics stack. Collaboration with platform software and hardware teams, as well as game developers, is essential. You will act as an advocate for game developers when engaging with platform teams and vice versa.

The ideal candidate possesses experience and interest in low-level graphics architecture and engineering, proficiency in writing rendering code across multiple existing rendering APIs, and experience with console rendering code.
