Principal Technical Program Manager
The Principal Technical Program Manager will lead the delivery of PlayStation's most complex, multi-year engineering initiatives, ensuring both execution success and full organizational adoption. This role requires advanced expertise in orchestrating cross-functional execution, engaging senior executives, and ensuring that technical solutions deliver measurable impact. The position is based in Los Angeles, CA, within the Technical Program Governance team at Sony Interactive Entertainment.
Key responsibilities include leading the delivery of complex engineering initiatives, serving as an integrator across programs to guide decisions and reduce risk, partnering with technical leads and architects to ensure scalable and strategic engineering decisions, building and maintaining dashboards that connect program execution data to executive insight, and defining and promoting reusable patterns and frameworks to improve technical program delivery.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading large-scale, multi-year technical initiatives with deep complexity across systems, organizations, and geographies. A proven track record in driving complete transformation, ensuring adoption, behavioral change, and operational integration is essential. The role requires demonstrated ability to influence senior executives, unify conflicting viewpoints, and steer ambiguous, high-impact efforts. Strong technical insight across platforms, systems, and architecture, with the ability to challenge assumptions and guide engineering toward scalable, strategic solutions, is also required.
Sony Interactive Entertainment offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $236,300 to $354,500 USD, along with top-tier benefits such as medical, dental, vision, matching 401(k), paid time off, wellness programs, and employee discounts for Sony products. This role may also be eligible for a bonus package.
