Senior Software Engineer (Python)

AlphaSense is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our FinData team, which is responsible for building robust data ingestion pipelines and services that power our platform with financial data from various sources. As a key member of this team, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of our AI-driven market intelligence platform, trusted by over 6,000 enterprise customers, including a majority of the S&P 500.

In this role, you will design, implement, test, maintain, and improve features and services across our technology stack. You will own and operate the applications and services you build, ensuring their reliability and performance. Collaboration is central to our approach, and you will work closely with global teams and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver effective solutions.

The ideal candidate has over five years of experience in software development, building highly reliable, mission-critical software. A strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, including algorithmic complexity, asynchronicity, and distributed computing, is essential. Proficiency in design and architecture concepts, familiarity with Agile development processes, and experience with Python, TypeScript, and AWS are highly desirable. A background or interest in financial modeling, financial technology, or capital markets is a plus but not mandatory.
