Senior Software Engineer (Python)

AlphaSense is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our FinData team, responsible for developing robust data pipelines and services that power our AI-driven market intelligence platform. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse challenges across the technology stack, contributing to the continuous improvement of our platform.

In this position, you will develop product expertise and technical mastery, clarify requirements, and implement effective solutions. You will collaborate with global teams and stakeholders, applying new technologies and practices through constant learning and innovation. Additionally, you will follow engineering processes and DevOps practices, including monitoring, alerting, performance optimization, integration testing, and design documentation.

The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience building highly reliable, mission-critical software, with a strong foundation in computer science fundamentals such as algorithmic complexity, asynchronicity, and distributed computing. Familiarity with Agile software development processes, software testing, and experience in shipping high-quality solutions with a sense of urgency are essential. Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, and AWS is a plus, as is a background or interest in financial modeling, financial technology, or capital markets.
