Senior Software Engineer, Integrations
AlphaSense is seeking an innovative and passionate Senior Software Engineer to join our Integrations team, which operates as a "Startup Within A Startup." This team is dedicated to developing cutting-edge technology for building scalable, secure, and reliable enterprise solutions that empower financial institutions and corporations to make precise decisions. As a key member of this team, you will play a pivotal role in creating the next big thing in Enterprise Knowledge Platform solutions for User Financial Data.
In this role, you will be responsible for writing high-quality, performant, and industry-standard code. You will develop and maintain product expertise and technical mastery while contributing to the team. Collaborating with globally distributed and cross-functional teams, you will stay abreast of and implement the latest engineering processes, DevOps practices, and trends. Additionally, you will mentor Software Engineers to improve their skills and reduce development iterations, clarify requirements, and develop effective solutions. Your efforts will drive technical maturity and organizational growth through continuous learning and the application of new technologies and practices.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in backend development, with proficiency in Java or Python, or both. A working understanding of cloud service providers, preferably AWS, is essential. You should possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with extensive knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases. Experience in designing stateless and stateful microservices, as well as hands-on experience in building and maintaining large-scale data integration systems, is required. Familiarity with asynchronous data processing and the ability to articulate ideas clearly and incorporate feedback rapidly are also important.
