Senior Software Engineer - E3
Instawork is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying high-scale web and mobile features that drive our AI-powered labor marketplace. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to innovative solutions that connect skilled hourly professionals with local businesses worldwide.
In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end development processes, including system design, coding, testing, and deployment. You will prioritize high-impact projects, tackle complex software challenges, and collaborate closely with product managers and designers to implement maintainable solutions. Additionally, you will participate in code reviews, provide technical feedback, and help maintain peak team productivity by managing multiple priorities effectively.
The ideal candidate will have 5–8 years of experience building and shipping high-traffic web or mobile applications. Strong coding and problem-solving skills are essential. While experience with our technology stack—Python/Django, Celery, MySQL, Redis, ElasticSearch, and React Native—is preferred, it is not mandatory. Proficiency in frontend technologies like React, Redux, and responsive design systems, as well as experience in system design, distributed systems, and both relational and No-SQL databases, are highly valued.
