Senior Regional Risk Manager
The Senior Regional Risk Manager at Grab plays a pivotal role within the Risk Operations team, focusing on safeguarding the integrity of Grab's financial operations in the Singapore and Malaysia markets. This position is based in the Petaling Jaya office and reports directly to the Regional Head of Risk Operations. The role is integral to maintaining the security and integrity of Grab's Risk Operations, thereby protecting the company from financial and reputational harm.
Key responsibilities include overseeing end-to-end regional risk operations for Malaysia and Singapore, managing both in-house teams and BPO partners across areas such as onboarding, AML, chargebacks, quality control, and risk investigations. The manager is accountable for operational and business targets, including service level agreements (SLAs), quality, and performance reporting. Additionally, the role involves leading projects with various departments across Product and Engineering, focusing on automation, platform improvements, and internal AI projects, while balancing short-term execution needs with long-term strategy.
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree and possesses at least five years of leadership experience managing team leaders. Experience in managing complex processes and large teams exceeding 50 members, as well as cross-border teams, is advantageous. Proficiency in risk operations, fraud detection, chargeback management, KYC/KYB compliance, and AML monitoring is essential. A deep understanding of performance metrics, such as SLAs, quality, productivity, and occupancy, is required. The candidate should demonstrate strong customer service orientation, conflict management skills, and the ability to make balanced and unbiased decisions based on all available information.
