Senior Specialist, IT Governance

The Senior Specialist, IT Governance at Grab plays a pivotal role in fostering a culture of risk awareness and accountability within the organization. Reporting to the Regional IT Governance Lead, this position is integral to maintaining robust IT governance practices that align with industry standards and internal policies. The role is based onsite at Grab's Malaysia office.

Key responsibilities include maintaining and updating the IT Governance framework to ensure alignment with standards such as COBIT and ISO, identifying opportunities for process optimization through standardization and automation, and developing IT governance KPIs and KRIs to measure compliance effectiveness. The specialist will also facilitate technology risk assessments, provide guidance on risk treatment options, and manage the IT risk register. Additionally, the role involves executing independent process reviews, serving as the primary liaison for auditors, and validating control effectiveness post-implementation.

Candidates should have at least six years of experience in IT governance, risk management, compliance, and internal controls. A strong understanding of IT governance frameworks like COSO and COBIT, as well as regulatory requirements and industry standards such as SOX, MAS TRMG, BNM RMiT, and ISO 27001, is essential. Experience in large or regulated organizations, familiarity with IT audit processes, and the ability to work independently on semi-ambiguous tasks are also required. Professional certifications such as COBIT, CISA, CRISC, or CISM are advantageous.
