Senior People Operations Specialist

Sterlington PLLC is seeking a Senior People Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team. This full-time, independent contractor role is based in Lisbon, Portugal, and requires support for US Eastern Time working hours. As a full-service law firm specializing in complex corporate, litigation, executive compensation, and private wealth matters, Sterlington offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a firm that values both economic and legal aspects of client matters.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing HR data and systems, ensuring compliance with policies as the firm grows, supporting benefits and payroll workflows, and collaborating closely with finance, data, and other teams. Your day-to-day tasks will include maintaining accurate people data, streamlining HR operations, and proactively addressing any issues that arise to ensure smooth processes.

The ideal candidate will possess a detail-oriented mindset, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Comfort with technology and an interest in automation and AI are essential. While experience with BambooHR and Power BI is advantageous, it is not mandatory. Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, are required, and experience in fast-paced or growing environments is preferred.
