Senior Manager / Associate Director - Product Operations

Instawork is seeking a Senior Manager / Associate Director of Product Operations to lead the transition from an app-based marketplace to an agent-first ecosystem. This role involves defining the technical infrastructure that enables autonomous marketplace operations, positioning Instawork at the forefront of AI-driven labor solutions.

Key responsibilities include architecting the shift from manual workflows to intent-driven delegation, overseeing the design of middleware that translates user intent into marketplace actions, and ensuring operations are programmatic and self-healing. The role also involves leading a team to prototype high-stakes automations, implementing reasoning-as-a-service by distinguishing between the use of large language models and deterministic logic, and building automated systems for liquidity balancing and real-time negotiation.

Candidates should have over 10 years of experience in Product Operations, Technical Program Management, or Engineering Leadership, with at least 4 years in a leadership role. Expert-level proficiency in Python or TypeScript, experience with AI-native development environments, and a proven track record in high-frequency marketplaces are essential. Demonstrated experience in building autonomous workflows or agents is also required.
