Senior Data Engineer

Betsson Group is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our international team in São Paulo. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and developing our data platform to meet evolving business needs and enhance system performance. This position offers the opportunity to create new data pipelines and maintain platforms that support both batch-loading and real-time visualizations.

As a Senior Data Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include maintaining and evolving our existing data platform, mentoring engineers on data modeling standards such as Inmon, Kimball, and Data Vault, and ensuring data quality by verifying consistency and accuracy. You will also stay abreast of new technologies and techniques, troubleshoot and resolve problems and incidents, take full ownership of assigned projects and tasks, and document processes while conducting knowledge-sharing sessions.

The ideal candidate will have experience with AWS services like S3, Lambda, Glue, DMS, and RDS, as well as proficiency in modern cloud database technologies such as Snowflake or Redshift. Strong skills in cost-efficient SQL design and query optimization, experience with data pipeline orchestration tools like Airflow, and familiarity with object-oriented programming and abstraction principles are essential. Additionally, expertise in data warehousing concepts and data modeling techniques is required.
