Senior Counsel

Tyson & Mendes LLP is seeking a seasoned Senior Counsel to join our Southern California team. As a national litigation firm renowned for our innovative approach to insurance defense and our mission to prevent Nuclear Verdicts®, we offer a dynamic environment where experienced attorneys can make a significant impact.

In this role, you will independently manage all aspects of litigation, including court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials. You will develop compelling case themes, collaborate with attorneys at all levels, and maintain regular communication with clients. Additionally, you will provide leadership and mentorship to less experienced attorneys, fostering a culture of excellence.

The ideal candidate holds a Juris Doctor from an ABA-approved law school and is licensed to practice in California. With over eight years of solid litigation experience, particularly in litigation support, deposition, and trial preparation, you possess the ability to handle full case responsibilities. Experience in insurance defense is preferred, along with proficiency in MS Suite and strong time management skills.

We offer a competitive base salary ranging from $160,000 to $190,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Attorneys are eligible for an annual billable hours bonus, comprehensive benefits including health, vision, dental, and life coverage, a 401(k) program with employer match, student loan repayment assistance or 529 college savings plan, paid parental leave, and a monthly technology reimbursement.
