Senior Counsel (Remote Option)
Tyson & Mendes LLP is seeking a Senior Counsel to join their Fresno, CA team. This role offers the flexibility of remote work with occasional in-person appearances. The firm specializes in high-exposure, complex litigation for top insurers and sophisticated clients nationwide, with a mission to stop Nuclear Verdicts®.
The Senior Counsel will handle sophisticated litigation, including class actions, construction defect, toxic tort, and high-exposure general liability matters. Responsibilities include developing compelling case themes, independently managing court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials, and collaborating with attorneys at all experience levels. The role also involves routine client communications and cultivating relationships with existing and future clients.
Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor from an ABA-approved school and an active California Bar license. A minimum of 8 years of solid litigation experience, particularly in litigation support, deposition, and trial preparation, is required. The ability to manage full case handling responsibilities, including all facets of discovery and trial, is essential. Experience in insurance defense matters is preferred, along with proficiency in MS Suite and strong communication skills.
The base salary for this position ranges from $160,000 to $190,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Attorneys are eligible for an annual billable hours bonus starting at $10,000, with additional tiers aggregating at $7,500 each.
