Senior Counsel (General Liability/Coverage)

Tyson & Mendes LLP is seeking a Senior Counsel specializing in General Liability and Insurance Coverage to join their San Diego, California office. This role offers an opportunity to lead high-exposure general liability cases and insurance coverage matters within a firm recognized for its innovative approach to insurance defense and trial advocacy.

The Senior Counsel will be responsible for developing compelling case strategies, independently handling court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials, and maintaining routine communications with clients. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with attorneys at all experience levels and providing leadership and mentorship to junior attorneys.

Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school and an active bar license in the State of California. A minimum of 8 years of solid litigation experience in general liability insurance defense and insurance coverage matters is required. The ideal candidate will have proven ability to manage full case responsibilities, including discovery and trial, and demonstrate strong proficiency in time management systems and MS Suite applications.

The base salary for this position ranges from $160,000 to $190,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
