Senior Counsel – Lemon Law Litigation
Tyson & Mendes LLP is seeking a Senior Counsel to join their Lemon Law Litigation team in Northern California. This role involves representing manufacturers and corporate clients in high-exposure cases under the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act and other consumer litigation matters. The firm is recognized for its innovative approach to insurance defense and trial advocacy, aiming to prevent Nuclear Verdicts® through strategic litigation practices.
The Senior Counsel will lead complex litigation cases, developing compelling case themes and managing all facets of discovery and trial preparation. Responsibilities include conducting court appearances, depositions, and drafting briefs, as well as collaborating with attorneys at various experience levels. Regular communication with clients and cultivating relationships with both existing and prospective clients are essential aspects of the role.
Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school and hold an active California State Bar license. A minimum of eight years of litigation experience is required, with at least five years focused on Lemon Law defense matters. Experience in general liability defense and tenant advocacy or housing litigation is also desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and time management systems, along with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently, are necessary for success in this position.
The compensation package includes a base salary ranging from $160,000 to $190,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Attorneys are eligible for an annual billable hours bonus starting at $10,000, with additional tiers available.
