Senior Counsel (Landlord/Tenant)
Tyson & Mendes LLP is seeking a Senior Counsel to join their Complex Trial Teams, focusing on landlord-tenant litigation. This role involves leading high-stakes defense cases, including habitability claims, wrongful eviction disputes, and premises liability matters. The firm is recognized for its innovative approach to insurance defense and commitment to preventing Nuclear Verdicts®.
The Senior Counsel will develop compelling case themes, independently handle court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials, and collaborate with attorneys at all experience levels. Responsibilities also include routine client communications, cultivating client relationships, and providing leadership and direction to less experienced attorneys.
Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor from an ABA-approved law school and hold an active California bar license. A minimum of eight years of solid litigation experience, particularly in litigation support, deposition, and trial preparation, is required. Preferred qualifications include experience in insurance defense matters, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
The position offers a base salary ranging from $160,000 to $190,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
