QA Backend Automation Engineer
The QA Backend Automation Engineer will join Betsson Group's Engagement Product Development team in Malaga, focusing on enhancing customer loyalty through features like tournaments and personalized campaigns. This role is integral to delivering a world-class customer experience beyond gameplay.
Key responsibilities include developing a deep understanding of the product to identify and address weaknesses, collaborating within a Scrum team to add value, designing and developing automated tests using industry-standard tools, and promoting a quality mindset through coaching and close collaboration. The engineer will also implement and maintain test automation frameworks, conduct root cause analyses, and improve the software delivery process to enable faster, high-quality increments aiming for continuous deployment.
The ideal candidate should have experience with at least one object-oriented programming language, preferably C#, as well as JavaScript and TypeScript. A strong understanding of RESTful APIs and experience with testing them is essential. Proficiency in test automation libraries like Playwright and Cypress, and frameworks such as Jest and Mocha, is required. Experience with non-functional testing tools like K6 or JMeter, working in Agile teams with a shift-left mentality, and a solid understanding of software testing processes and techniques are also important.
