The Product Manager will facilitate delivery with Product, Tech, Trading, and Operations teams, ensuring clear success criteria and quality standards. Additional duties involve partnering with the Retail channel to ensure smooth operation of the existing retail sportsbook setup, continuously optimizing the experience and processes, and driving a reliable rollout and support model across shops and terminals. Evaluating and integrating third-party capabilities for centralized use, defining scope, feasibility, and operating models are also key aspects of the role.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Product Manager within the sportsbook industry, with a deep understanding of African or emerging market betting behavior, sports culture, and competitive landscape. The ability to translate commercial requirements into aligned product decisions and act as a strong partner to the Sportsbook Manager Africa is crucial. Experience with third-party integrations and cross-functional delivery is required, with retail sportsbook experience considered a strong plus. Strong collaboration skills across Tech, Trading, Commercial, Operations, Procurement, and Compliance teams are essential, along with excellent stakeholder management and structured communication abilities. An understanding of regional product differentiation, third-party content feeds, and integrations is necessary, as well as familiarity with regulatory processes and working with Compliance and Legal teams on market-specific nuances. Experience with free-to-play, pool betting, or multi-brand sportsbook setups is highly beneficial.
