Presuit Secretary
Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm, is seeking a qualified Pre-Suit Secretary to join our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania office. This role is integral to managing the firm's day-to-day operations, providing essential administrative support to our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key responsibilities include assisting case managers and attorneys with organizing, filing, and maintaining client files for over 100 cases. The Pre-Suit Secretary will collect and process check requests for medical records, accident reports, driving records, and vehicle ownership documents. Additional duties involve copying documents and demand packages, completing certified mail cards, mailing documents and cost checks, performing general office tasks such as typing and sorting mail, creating client folders, preparing and sending various correspondence, and dispatching demand letters. Other duties may be assigned as needed to meet the firm's operational requirements.
The ideal candidate should have an associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience, with at least one year of experience in the legal field being advantageous. Proficiency in administrative and clerical procedures, including word processing and file management, is essential. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage workloads efficiently with minimal supervision. Strong written and verbal communication skills, high organizational abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook are required. A minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute is also necessary.
This on-site position offers a starting compensation of $22 per hour. Full-time employees are eligible for an excellent benefits package, including medical and dental insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and paid holidays.
