Litigation Assistant

As a Litigation Assistant, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the law firm, including scheduling hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and handling logistics. Your duties will encompass maintaining pleadings and discovery indexes, organizing exhibits and evidence, and drafting correspondence and legal documents. Additionally, you will conduct legal research, manage client billing, and communicate with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings and depositions.
The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED, with an associate's degree in paralegal studies or a paralegal certificate preferred. A minimum of two years of experience as an administrative assistant, legal assistant, legal secretary, or paralegal is required, preferably within a law firm or corporate legal department. Experience in personal injury, workers' compensation, premises liability, or related practice areas is advantageous. Strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are essential.
