As a Platform DevOps Engineer at Betsson Group, you will be instrumental in modernizing and maintaining our globally distributed applications. You will join the Platform Core team, which is responsible for managing Infrastructure as Code for our Core Platform Layer, including Kubernetes clusters, message broker backends, and infrastructure tooling. This role is pivotal in ensuring optimal performance of our business applications, APIs, and websites.

Your primary responsibilities will include working with cutting-edge technologies to advance our cloud journey. You will build and manage infrastructure platforms as self-service tools for developers, providing guidance and tooling to enable them to self-manage their applications across various environments. Additionally, you will continuously improve and develop our platforms based on business needs, analyzing, diagnosing, and solving issues related to efficiency, performance, and scalability in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

To excel in this role, you should have strong knowledge and experience in setting up and administering Kubernetes clusters, preferably with AWS EKS and Rancher RKE. Proficiency in managing Kafka infrastructure in a geo-distributed setup, as well as experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, is essential. A solid understanding of cloud providers, particularly AWS services such as EC2, ALBs, VPC, and EKS, is required. Familiarity with the open-source monitoring stack of Prometheus/Grafana, scripting abilities in Python, Bash, or PowerShell, and experience with Linux distributions are also important.
