Payments - DevOps Engineer
The Payments - DevOps Engineer role at Betsson Group is integral to the company's mission of delivering exceptional payment experiences in the iGaming industry. As part of the Platform Core team, the engineer will manage infrastructure as code for core platform components, including Kubernetes clusters and message broker backends, ensuring optimal performance for web applications, APIs, and backend services. Key responsibilities include working with cutting-edge technologies to advance the company's cloud journey, building self-service infrastructure platforms for developers, and providing guidance and tooling for application management across environments. The engineer will continuously improve and develop platforms based on business needs, analyzing, diagnosing, and solving issues related to efficiency, performance, and scalability in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge and experience in setting up and administering Kubernetes clusters, preferably with AWS EKS and Rancher RKE, and managing Kafka infrastructure in a geo-distributed setup. Proficiency in managing cloud infrastructure via infrastructure as code using Terraform, experience with cloud providers (preferably AWS), and familiarity with services such as EC2, ALBs, VPC, and EKS are essential. Additional requirements include experience in building scalable and distributed infrastructure, versioned source control, open-source monitoring stacks like Prometheus/Grafana, scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell, and managing Linux distributions. Excellent problem-solving skills, knowledge of IT operations best practices, and adaptability to changing technologies are also important. The role requires participation in an on-call support schedule.
