Network Engineer
AlphaSense is seeking a hands-on Network Engineer to design, deploy, and manage our global corporate network across offices in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. This role is integral to ensuring our infrastructure is resilient, scalable, and vendor-agnostic. The Network Engineer will collaborate closely with Corporate Technology, Network Security, and Security Engineering teams to support our rapidly growing organization.
Key responsibilities include architecting and implementing LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and Wi-Fi solutions for multiple global offices. The role involves managing Cisco Meraki switches, routers, and access points, while maintaining a vendor-agnostic approach for future integrations. The Network Engineer will also implement and manage Wi-Fi Enterprise Authentication (EAP), certificate-based authentication, and enforce zero-trust access controls. Additionally, the position requires planning and optimizing enterprise Wi-Fi, including RF design, surveys, and performance tuning, as well as building secure cloud and hybrid networking solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms.
The ideal candidate will have 8–10+ years of experience in enterprise networking, with expertise in multi-site design and operations. Deep knowledge of routing, switching, and segmentation is essential, along with proven experience with Cisco networking technology, particularly Cisco Meraki. Proficiency in Python and Ansible for automation is required, as well as skills in NAC/RADIUS integrations with identity providers like Okta and Azure AD. A strong understanding of certificate-based authentication, EAP, and zero-trust architectures is also necessary. The role demands excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and leadership skills, and the ability to travel internationally for deployments.
