Litigation Paralegal
Morgan & Morgan is seeking a dedicated Litigation Paralegal to join our team in Columbia, South Carolina. As a key member of our legal team, you will work closely with a lead attorney and legal assistant to support our mission of advocating for consumer rights. In this position, you will be responsible for preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memoranda. Your duties will include e-filing court documents in both state and federal courts, conducting legal research and factual investigations, and preparing discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses. Additionally, you will coordinate and summarize depositions, draft and serve summons, and assist in the preparation of trial binders and exhibits.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience as a litigation paralegal or in legal services under an attorney in a law firm setting. A background in Workers' Compensation is required. While an Associate’s Degree, certificate, or completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program is preferred, equivalent work experience will be considered. Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask and manage workloads with minimal supervision are essential.
