Litigation Paralegal
Morgan & Morgan is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team in Alpharetta, Georgia. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will work closely with our talented attorneys, providing support before, during, and after trials. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a firm dedicated to protecting the rights of individuals against powerful entities.
In this position, your primary responsibilities will include preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memoranda. You will be responsible for e-filing all court documents in state and federal courts, communicating with clients, courts, and counsel, conducting legal research and factual investigations, and preparing discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses. Additionally, you will coordinate and summarize depositions, prepare trial binders and exhibits, and assist attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests.
The ideal candidate will possess an associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience, with at least two years of litigation experience. Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program is preferred. Experience in personal injury, workers' compensation, premises liability, or other injury-related practice areas is advantageous. Candidates must have the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage workloads with a positive attitude and minimal supervision. Strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in calendaring depositions, mediations, and hearings, and applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, and procedures are essential. The role requires extensive computer and database expertise, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and a typing speed of no less than 35 words per minute.
