Litigation Paralegal
Morgan & Morgan is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their Miami, Florida office. This role involves working closely with attorneys to provide comprehensive support before, during, and after trials, contributing to the firm's mission of advocating for consumer rights.
Key responsibilities include preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memoranda. The paralegal will also be responsible for e-filing court documents in both state and federal courts, conducting legal research and factual investigations, preparing discovery documents and responses, coordinating and summarizing depositions, and organizing trial binders and exhibits. Additional duties encompass drafting and serving summonses, maintaining pleadings and discovery indexes, and liaising between trial teams and external parties.
The ideal candidate should possess an associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience, with a minimum of two years of litigation experience. Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program is preferred. Experience in personal injury, workers' compensation, premises liability, or other injury-related practice areas is advantageous. Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook are essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a positive attitude and minimal supervision, are also required.
