Litigation Paralegal
Morgan & Morgan is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team in Irvine, California. This role involves close collaboration with a lead attorney and legal assistant, contributing to our mission of advocating for consumer rights. The position offers competitive compensation and a generous bonus plan.
Key responsibilities include preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memoranda. The paralegal will e-file court documents in state and federal courts, communicate with clients, courts, and counsel, conduct legal research and factual investigations, and prepare discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses. Additional duties encompass drafting and serving summons, coordinating and summarizing depositions, preparing trial binders and exhibits, and assisting with case settlements.
Candidates should possess an associate's degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience, with completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program preferred. A minimum of two years of experience as a litigation paralegal or in legal services under an attorney in a law firm setting is required. Experience in personal injury, workers' compensation, premises liability, first party, medical malpractice, or other injury-related practice areas is essential. The role demands strong multitasking abilities, organizational skills, and the capacity to manage workloads with a positive attitude and minimal supervision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with attention to detail, are crucial. This position is on-site, with no remote or hybrid options available.
The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $115,000 USD annually. Full-time employees are offered an excellent benefits package, including medical and dental insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and paid holidays.
