Litigation Assistant
Morgan & Morgan is seeking a dedicated Litigation Assistant to join our Baltimore, Maryland office. As a key member of our legal team, you will play a vital role in managing daily operations and supporting attorneys in delivering exceptional legal services. In this role, you will be responsible for a range of administrative and legal support tasks. Your duties will include scheduling hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics to ensure smooth case progression. Additionally, you will maintain pleadings and discovery indexes, organize exhibits and legal documents, and implement administrative processes to enhance workflow efficiency. Drafting and proofreading correspondence and legal documents, conducting legal research, and managing client billing are also key aspects of this position.
The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for those holding an associate's degree in paralegal studies, a paralegal certificate, or a bachelor's degree. A minimum of two years of experience as an administrative assistant in a law firm or corporate legal department is required. Experience in personal injury, workers' compensation, premises liability, or related practice areas is preferred. Strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a typing speed of at least 35 words per minute, are also necessary.
This on-site position offers an hourly wage ranging from $24.52 to $28.85, depending on experience.
