Legal Assistant
Tyson & Mendes LLP is seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant to join our San Antonio, Texas office. As a key member of our litigation team, you will support attorneys specializing in civil litigation and insurance defense. In this role, you will be responsible for drafting and e-filing legal documents, managing case calendars, coordinating hearings and trial preparations, and maintaining communication with clients and courts. Your day-to-day tasks will also include scheduling depositions, assisting with trial preparation, and ensuring all deadlines are met with precision.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years' experience as a litigation legal assistant, preferably within insurance defense or personal injury. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat, along with a solid understanding of civil litigation procedures in Texas state and federal courts, is essential. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are key attributes for success in this position.
We offer a competitive compensation package, including an hourly pay range of $25 to $41, depending on experience, with overtime paid at 1.5 times the regular rate as needed.
