The Information Governance Coordinator at Foley Hoag LLP will work closely with the Associate Director of Information Governance to support the firm's Information Governance (IG) program. This role involves managing the organization, retention, security, and disposition of the firm's physical and electronic records. The Coordinator will assist with various IG initiatives and operational processes, including legacy disposition efforts, data archival projects, and digitization efforts.

Key responsibilities include supporting the administration of the firm's IG program across physical and electronic records, assisting with file management activities such as record intake, organization, transfers, retrievals, and releases, and helping to carry out records retention and disposition processes in accordance with firm policy and legal requirements. The Coordinator will also support data archival efforts, assist with reviewing and tracking records-related requests, coordinate with attorneys and staff to determine file status, and support digitization efforts to improve the accessibility and organization of the firm's information assets.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a law firm conflicts department or a compliance, regulatory, financial, or legal environment. A general understanding of records and information governance is a plus. Proficiency with record and document management systems, such as iManage or FileTrail, is preferred. The role requires exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills, acute attention to detail, excellent decision-making abilities, and the capacity to work under tight deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills, exceptional communication and customer service abilities, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and web-based systems are also essential.

The position offers a hybrid working arrangement, with three days expected in the office and two days working from home. The standard work schedule is 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET. The compensation range is $63,400 to $79,300, commensurate with related experience and qualifications.
