Information Engineer II, Enterprise Systems Technology
The Information Engineer II, Enterprise Systems Technology at AlphaSense is responsible for designing, building, and operating scalable enterprise platforms that support internal teams across the organization. This role emphasizes developing automated, reliable, and secure solutions to reduce manual work and enhance operational efficiency. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape the technical direction of enterprise systems, promoting best practices in automation, infrastructure management, and system reliability.
Key responsibilities include designing and building automation-driven solutions and system integrations to improve reliability across enterprise systems. The engineer will develop and maintain internal platforms and services that support identity management, enterprise applications, and secure access to company resources. Additionally, the role involves designing, implementing, and supporting networking and secure access technologies, including Zero Trust Network Access and identity-aware access controls. Applying engineering best practices such as infrastructure as code, version control, testing, and CI/CD to enterprise systems and automation workflows is also essential.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and certifications. Deep expertise in identity and access management platforms, particularly Okta and Okta Workflows, and experience designing secure identity architectures are required. Strong programming and scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, and Bash, along with experience integrating systems using RESTful APIs and authentication frameworks such as OAuth, are essential. Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and experience working with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git) are also necessary.
