The Group AML & Governance Assurance Manager at Betsson Group is a pivotal role within the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) function, reporting directly to the Vice President of GRC. This position is designed for an experienced compliance professional with a strong background in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF), aiming to provide strategic guidance and oversight across the organization. The role involves close collaboration with senior management, subsidiaries, and key stakeholders globally, supporting the development and implementation of group-wide frameworks, policies, and controls. In this role, the Group AML & Governance Assurance Manager will provide expert guidance on AML/CTF matters to senior management and key stakeholders, advising on risk mitigation and strategic responses. The manager will support the group-wide AML/CTF risk assessment process and develop and implement group-wide AML/CTF policies, procedures, and controls, including frameworks for internal information sharing. Additionally, the role involves overseeing and quality assuring subsidiary governance in line with the corporate governance framework and Group Internal Rules, supporting reporting to Group Management and the Board of Directors on the implementation of policies, procedures, and controls, and contributing to the development of the GRC function alongside the Vice President of GRC. The manager will also assist in overseeing regulatory, legal, and contractual compliance, ensuring effective frameworks and processes are in place, and collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization, including employees, management, Board of Directors, and internal/external auditors, providing guidance, reporting, and support in relation to governance and compliance matters.
The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in law, business, or a related field, with at least four years of experience within compliance, AML/CTF, or a similar second-line function. A strong understanding of AML/CTF regulations and their practical implementation is essential, along with experience working with policies, controls, risk assessments, and governance frameworks. The candidate should have a proven ability to manage complex compliance projects and work independently, with experience engaging with regulators and competent authorities considered a strong advantage. Strong analytical and communication skills are required, with the ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders. A structured and proactive approach to work, with the ability to operate in a global environment, is necessary. Experience from global organizations and/or the gaming industry is considered a merit but not a requirement. Familiarity with AML/CTF compliance tools and data-driven monitoring is a plus. Fluency in Swedish and English is required.
