Equity Research Associate
AlphaSense is seeking an Equity Research Associate to join our Research Coverage Team, which delivers structured fundamental data and models on global public companies. Our clients, including leading financial services and corporate firms, rely on our financial model library to enhance efficiency and support sound financial analysis. By integrating financial modeling with advanced technology, we streamline independent research processes and facilitate the generation of high-conviction investment ideas.
In this role, you will be responsible for updating and building detailed three-statement financial models for publicly traded companies, particularly during earnings seasons. You will contribute to sub-sector-specific and broader model improvements, develop sector expertise to aid in the creation of modeling standards and comparative analysis dashboards, and document best practices. Additionally, you will support analysts in delivering exceptional client service, conduct ad-hoc research and company due diligence, and participate in training new team members.
The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience in equity research, financial modeling, or accounting, with a proven ability to independently build and enhance three-statement financial models. Strong financial modeling skills, sector understanding, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel are essential. Progress toward CFA, CPA, or MBA qualifications is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate initiative, leadership traits, and the ability to manage deadlines effectively.
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 53,000 to CAD 62,500, with potential additional components such as performance-based bonuses, equity, and a comprehensive benefits program.
