EMEA Senior Counsel
Verkada is seeking an EMEA Senior Counsel to join its newly established London office. As a founding member of the EMEA legal team, this role offers the opportunity to shape the legal framework within a rapidly expanding organization. Verkada is a leader in cloud-based physical security solutions, providing an integrated, AI-powered platform that includes video security, access control, air quality sensors, alarms, intercoms, and visitor management.
In this position, the Senior Counsel will advise Verkada's leadership, EMEA sales, and marketing teams on product, privacy, and contract matters. Responsibilities include negotiating and drafting a variety of technology-related B2B commercial agreements across the EMEA region, managing inbound and outbound contract negotiations, and providing day-to-day legal support to the EMEA marketing team. The role also involves collaborating with the US-based legal team to ensure a consistent approach to managing legal risks globally.
Candidates should be qualified solicitors in England and Wales with at least 4 years of post-qualification experience, preferably including 2+ years at a technology company. Strong experience in negotiating and drafting B2B software and hardware commercial contracts, license agreements, and vendor contracts is essential. A solid understanding of data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA is required. Familiarity with contract lifecycle management platforms and Google Workspace is advantageous.
