The Director, People Business Partner – Product & Engineering at AlphaSense will play a pivotal role in shaping the scaling of our technical organization. This position involves close collaboration with executive Product and Engineering leaders, acting as a strategic advisor to drive meaningful change across the organization. The role focuses on elevating talent caliber, strengthening performance differentiation, and designing organizational structures that enhance innovation velocity and technical excellence.
Key responsibilities include aligning workforce capacity and capability planning with product roadmaps, leading complex organizational design initiatives, and partnering on job architecture and career paths to support growth and internal mobility. The director will drive succession planning for critical technical and leadership roles, design and execute change strategies, and ensure organizational shifts are effectively adopted. Additionally, the role involves increasing talent density by addressing underperformance proactively, coaching leaders to build high-performing teams, and identifying and retaining critical technical talent through targeted development strategies.
The ideal candidate will have 12–15+ years of progressive HR experience, including significant time as a senior People Business Partner in high-growth technology environments. Experience in building and leading high-performing PBP teams, supporting Product and Engineering organizations at scale, and deep expertise in organizational design, performance management, and talent planning in technical environments are essential. Strong business acumen, sound judgment, and the ability to thrive in high-growth, evolving environments are also required.
The compensation range for this position is $163,000 to $220,000 USD annually. Additional benefits include equity options and a generous benefits program. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed.
