DevOps Engineer - Gaming
The DevOps Engineer role at Betsson Group's Gaming Department focuses on enhancing the core gaming platform that supports over 25 online brands. The role involves leading the migration from Octopus to GitHub Actions, fostering a culture of developer-led deployment. Additionally, the engineer will design and evolve monitoring systems using Prometheus/Grafana, integrating observability into CI/CD workflows, and ensuring robust tracing, logging, and metrics correlation across services. Supporting and extending custom-built infrastructure components to handle increased traffic and complex routing, while collaborating with teams to ensure performance, scalability, and security, are also key aspects of the role.
The ideal candidate should have experience with GitHub Actions and Octopus, focusing on deployment automation, speed, reliability, and test coverage. Proficiency with Prometheus/Grafana for building dashboards and integrating monitoring into CI/CD is essential. Strong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, ALB, VPC, EKS) and experience managing infrastructure using Terraform and modules are required. Proven experience in setting up and managing Kubernetes clusters, ideally with AWS EKS and Rancher RKE, along with scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell, are also necessary. A solid understanding of DevOps culture and ITIL best practices, coupled with excellent problem-solving skills, is expected.
