Data Science Manager – Experimentation: Innovation & Research

As a Data Science Manager at PlayStation, you will lead a team focused on experimentation and causal inference, driving innovation in decision-making and product development. This role combines technical expertise with managerial responsibilities, aiming to enhance experimentation strategies and foster a culture of curiosity and rigor within the organization.

Key responsibilities include guiding the development of new methodologies and frameworks to improve the quality and scalability of experiments. You will oversee the advancement of experimentation infrastructure, incorporating statistical and machine learning methods, and collaborate with product managers and business leaders to identify high-impact experimentation opportunities aligned with PlayStation's strategic goals.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree or equivalent experience in Applied Math, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field, with a Ph.D. preferred. A minimum of six years in data science, including hands-on work in experimentation and at least two years in a formal management or technical leadership role, is required. Proficiency in SQL and statistical programming languages such as R or Python, along with expertise in causal inference techniques and designing both randomized and quasi-experiments, is essential.
