Data Engineer

Betsson Group is seeking a Data Engineer to join their international team in Athens. In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of the company's data platform, focusing on creating new data pipelines and maintaining platforms that handle both batch-loading and real-time visualizations. This position offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, enhancing systems to meet evolving business needs.

Key responsibilities include maintaining and evolving the existing data platform, mentoring engineers on data modeling standards such as Inmon, Kimball, and Data Vault, and ensuring data quality by verifying consistency and accuracy. You will also be expected to stay updated on new technologies, troubleshoot and resolve incidents, take full ownership of assigned projects, and document processes while sharing knowledge with the team.

The ideal candidate should have experience with AWS services like S3, Lambda, Glue, DMS, and RDS, as well as proficiency in modern cloud database technologies such as Snowflake or Redshift. Strong skills in SQL, data integration tools, and object-oriented programming are essential. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and data modeling techniques is also required.
