Counsel

Arevon is seeking a Counsel to join its legal team, reporting to the Deputy General Counsel. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a leading renewable energy company committed to powering America with affordable, reliable, and secure homegrown energy. The position is based in Scottsdale, Arizona, with a hybrid in-office policy; remote candidates will also be considered, except those residing in California or New York.

The Counsel will be responsible for drafting, negotiating, and managing complex commercial contracts, including engineering, procurement, and construction agreements, equipment supply agreements, operations and maintenance agreements, and master services agreements. Additionally, the role involves advising management on business transactions, proactively managing risks across multiple contracts and projects, representing the company in contract negotiations, advising on claims and disputes, managing outside legal counsel, and conducting training sessions for company personnel.

Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. A minimum of two years of legal experience is required, with experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts such as engineering, procurement, and construction agreements. Preferred qualifications include four or more years of legal experience, experience in the renewable energy industry, and direct experience with engineering, procurement, and construction agreements. Candidates should demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, sound judgment, effective analytical and problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to handle a heavy workload with multiple project responsibilities and changing priorities.
